Why Hustling Will Crush your Business and Soul

For years successful business owners like Gary Vaynerchuck tell us that we need to work harder and stop complaining.

Work more. Never stop. Don't listen to anyone. Hustle harder. Crush it.

And I'm telling you to stop the hustle. No, I'm not telling you. I'm kindly inviting you to consider the alternative.

WATCH THE VIDEO:

Why? Is grinding and hustling not always the best option? Because there are other ways to make space for your version of success.

Don't get me wrong. I've done the hustling and grinding. I've done the 14-hour workdays and it left me fearful and exhausted.

It's like telling the universe: "Hey, you! I know I can only make it on steroids! Don't bring me your horrible flow. Give me sweat, sore muscles and that ugly face you pull when you lift your suitcase and it's way too heavy."

We run hard when we think we're being chased. But we can run just as fast when we're running towards our goal.

Instead of being pushed by fear we can pull in our dreams.

We can reach the finish because we invited the universe to come and play with us or because we run with a terrifying pack of wolves breathing down our neck.

A pack of wolves with names like Scarcity, Fear of Missing Out, Not Good Enough, I'm a Fraud, What if they Find Out.

When we're being chased there's no space for reflection, fresh perspective, life-altering insights. We can't see opportunities. Not even when they are pinching your cheeks and pulling your hair and scream your name!

Fear makes us deaf, blind, and small-minded.

So what's the alternative to the Grind n' Hustle your way into Success?

It's trust, surrendering, making space. I write these words with a sense of apprehension. Because hustling is highly addictive. Working our ass off is so much easier than shut up and finally listen to the calling of our soul.

Yet, that's what we need to do is stop bullying ourselves.

How? By doing more things that makes our heart sing and opens the connection we have with our soul.

Make time. Do things you've never done before. Listen to music you never heard before. Write with your non-dominant hand. Go to a museum - without your phone  - and study 1 painting for at least 5 minutes. Eat an apple with your eyes closed.

Say Yes! More often.

Be the boss of your own calendar. Create the space where you can hear the calling of your soul. Let success come to you. Wear your prettiest dress and woo it into falling in love with you. Be with entrepreneurs who lift you up.

Get support!

Create sacred space in your business and life where you can receive the gifts the universe has in store for you.

Take ONLY inspired action (check your motivation!) and let your version of success come to you!

And you? Do you hustle or do you invite ease and joy into your business?
