EXAMPLES OF ARTWORK FROM THE BOOK

WHAT IS THE
WONDERFULLY WEIRD WOMAN'S MANUAL
ABOUT?

.

Do you often feel the odd one out. Are you lost for words when someone is rude to you? Are you deeply touched by art, books, movies or nature? Do you have many passions, love to learn, but feel pressured into narrowing down your talents? Do you often feel too vulnerable or never enough? Are you being told you're too thin-skinned?

Do you sometimes wish you could hand in some IQ points in exchange for clarity? Do you rather stay put than creating something that might be very imperfect? Do you have a resume that looks like the work of 10 different persons?

Do you think: "I probably came to this world with a Manual, but somewhere along the road I must have lost the booklet."?

The Wonderfully Weird Woman's Manual inspires you to accept yourself and embrace your natural gifts: sensitivity, creativity, vulnerability, a fiercely bright mind and many talents. Here's the thing. You might feel you need to change. Fit in. Be more like the others. How else can you show up as the Real You in a world that feels too harsh, too black and white, too shallow?

However, you don't have to fit in. You have to be more like you already are.

When you buy the book you get exclusive access to the online Art Soul Sanctuary filled to the brim with wonderful healing art tools and fun art assignments created to guide you towards self-acceptance and happiness. You will experience that loving yourself unconditionally is both messy -- paint on hands and imperfect art -- and so much fun.

Why do you need to read this book?

The world needs you. We need your multi-faceted ideas, your kindness and deep feelings.

We need people who are dumbfounded in the current political rhetoric. There are enough hard-liners. We need soft-liners. We need people who have the ability to breathe ideas like there is no tomorrow.

We need you to teach us all how to live wholeheartedly. You can make a real difference, just by being you. It requires knowing yourself, seeing the bigger picture and a whole lot of loving; yourself, the wonderful mess we're all in.

WHY I CREATED THE WONDERFULLY WEIRD WOMAN'S MANUAL

.

My quest to find a way to serve the world in a deep and meaningful way might have started in Elementary School. I just wanted to know how I could help make the world a better place.

I rescued stray dogs tied to trees. And gave every dead bird the funeral it deserved with a decorated popsicle-sticks cross and an earnestly sung national anthem.

When I grew up I demonstrated. Against bombs, prejudice, wars. I went to art school because I believed art would make the world a better place. This is my quest.

What can I do to make this world a better place? What will be my legacy?

Since I am a coach, I start with people. Who can I serve? Really serve in the most profound manner. Who will help me bring compassion, love and kindness in our deeply flawed society.

Who can change humanity? And the answer is you. Just by becoming more who you already are, you are part of a quiet compassionate revolution.

I researched the traits, needs, challenges, pains and longings of the women I have worked with for the past eight years. I knew they too wanted to serve the world. They all realized at some point in their life that change does start at home. Right in their own mind, their own heart.

So here's the thing, I'm an idealist. I need to see the good in people. I want to see the good in people. Even in difficult times. Maybe that doesn't make me an idealist per se. Just a very stubborn believer in the good of humanity.

I wholeheartedly believe that showing up as you - every aspect of you - will heal us. When we lay down our layers and masks, our angry words, our need to fit in. When we can just simply be, we are natural healers by becoming more of who we already are.

In my research I found - hidden beneath questions about careers and the desire to feel happy again - amazing commonalities that explained why the women I coached, who all worked like maniacs to realize their dream, were deeply unhappy and unable to serve the world... until they accepted themselves fully.

Maybe it's a bit daft it took me so long to figure it out, but sometimes these things need time. We have a saying in the Netherlands - coined by our beloved soccer player and national hero Johan Cruyff "Je gaat het pas zien als je het doorhebt." It roughly translates into: "You only see it when you get it".

We all travel via feeling things and glimpses of insight into our behavior, towards seeing the complete picture. This is an ongoing process. We need this inner travel in order to get "IT". To get us. To understand what the hell is going on inside our wonderfully weird being.

My research gave me the opportunity to look deep into the heart, soul and mind of women who are talented and creative - who basically have the world at their feet - and yet run all into the same huge obstacles.

That's how I 'unearthed' a unique kind of woman: The Highly Sensitive Renaissance Soul. A.K.A. The Wonderfully Weird Woman.

WHO WROTE
THE WONDERFULLY WEIRD WOMAN'S MANUAL

Esther de Charon de Saint Germain is a transformational art coach, art historian and artist; with an all-over-the-place resume that could have been 'the work of ten different people'.

She writes for the Huffington Post and works with Wonderfully Weird Women from all over the world. Clients who realize they need to accept and love themselves unconditionally before they can realize their dreams. Esther's favorite coaching tools are art, creativity, meditation, silence and -- when the job needs to be done -- schedules and firm accountability.

Esther is a former city girl and solo traveler, these days she lives with her young son, husband and dog on an old farm in a tiny village in the North of the Netherlands. She has many -- non lethal -- addictions like fresh jasmine tea, art books, collecting discarded flowers and chipped cups -- that use way to much space in her studio --, spending time in art supply and book stores, red lipstick, Scandinavian crime series, opera's with very sad endings, roaming museums not following the route, fresh sketchbooks (it is said that, even if she would sketch five times a day, she will not be able to fill all those books in this life time) and sitting in the garden doing nothing, enjoying life.

You can find her online at www.estherdecharon.com.
