I know, I know. I'm more about slow branding than 'DIY your Visual Brand in a Day.... 

BUT, doing something fast and imperfect is the Best Cure for perfectionism and procrastination. 

So here we go!  

Your Visual Brand in a Day

Here's a list of steps you can follow to create a visual brand for yourself or your business using Canva:

  1. Determine your brand values and personality: Before you start creating a visual brand, it's important to know what your brand stands for and what you want to communicate to your audience. Think about your values, what sets you apart from competitors, and the tone of voice you want to use.
  2. Choose your brand colors: Your brand colors should be consistent across all of your marketing materials and should reflect your brand personality. You can use a color palette tool like Canva's Color Palette Generator to help you choose complementary colors that work well together.
  3. Select your brand fonts: Your brand fonts should also be consistent across all of your materials. Choose a couple of fonts that reflect your brand personality and work well together. Canva has a variety of fonts to choose from, or you can upload your own.
  4. Find or create visual assets: Visual assets like photographs and graphics can help bring your brand to life. You can use Canva's stock image library or create your own graphics using the design tools in the platform.
  5. Create a style guide: A style guide is a document that outlines all of the elements of your visual brand, including your colors, fonts, and visual assets. This will help ensure that your brand is consistently represented across all of your marketing materials.
